Pi Day Celebrations
Mr. Holmgren is a huge fan of math! In celebration of Pi Day he was on the receiving end of two pie throws! The students memorized 10 or more digits of Pi, and those with more than 20 were entered for a chance throw the pie!
Congrats to our Ninth Ager who memorize 142 digits!

Iditarod Map
We spent time this week studying the Iditarod map in geography. The boys traced the map and labeled the checkpoints on the both northern and southern routes to share in their folders.

I-Did-a-read
The boys are so excited about the March Reading Madness Iditarod challenge! We aim to read 1,049 minutes this month (ask your son about the significance of the 49). We will track the class's progress in school as the boys track it at home. Thanks for your support!

History Test 31-33
Our next history test covering chapters 31-33 will be on Thursday, March 6. In preparation we will be creating our own Jeopardy game on Jeopardy Labs (Click here for the game, we are almost finished!). I have also created a Prezi for the students to use for review. These chapters cover the Punic Wars and Rome's rise to power as the "New Champion of the World."
